The USASLCC attends ‘Facets of Sri Lanka’ in New York

The USA-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce (USASLCC) joined “Facets of Sri Lanka” – a tourism event co-hosted by Sri Lanka Mission in New York with Turkish Airlines and Jetwing Travels and graced by many leading tour operators in the tri-state area and diplomatic corps based in New York. In his welcome remarks, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations, Mohan Peiris highlighted that Sri Lanka is ranked as one of the top tourist destinations in the world and is blessed with captivating scenic beauty, unparalleled biodiversity, a rich cultural heritage and several UNESCO World Heritage sites.

USA-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce in New York and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Washington DC to boost US-Sri Lanka trade and investment linkages

Washington DC have agreed to work in close collaboration to enhance trade, investment, and tourism between the two countries. This understanding was reached at a meeting held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Washington DC, between  H. E. Mahinda Samarasinghe, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States and Mr. Dillan Ariyawansa, President, USASLCC, making it the first official meeting between the newly appointed Ambassador Samarasinghe and the President of USASLCC.
